Altachem N.V. A subsidiary of the LINDAL Group based in Harelbeke, Belgium Acquired by the LINDAL Group in 2011, Altachem specialise in the manufacturing of high delivery valves and guns. Originally founded in 1992 and home to 30 dedicated employees, Altachem is the world’s leader in the development and production of valves, application tools and accessories for 1K-PU foam (1 component PU foam) in pressurised cannisters. With a turnover of around 30 million euros and a continued focus on further growth and innovation, Altachem retains a strong position in the world of 1K-PU foam, adhesives and sealants. In 2023 Altachem has been recognised as a ‘Factory of the Future’. The site in Harelbeke utilises technology throughout the plant, ranging from the latest ERP system to ensure a paperless shop floor to testing and implenting AGV’s (Automated Guided Vehicles) to improve efficiency in production. There is also a strong workplace culture at Altachem with the ‘Be The Change’ programme focusing on training employees to improve their individual skill sets. Altafit! is also another important internal initiative that focuses on employee wellbeing to create a healthier and happier workplace.
Door de verdere groei van Altachem is het belangrijk om te onderzoeken hoe het bedrijf zich optimaal kan opstellen met betrekking tot lay-out, logistiek, en equipment. De bedoeling is om vanuit de huidige situatie (as is) een true north op te zetten, verschillende concepten te analyseren en voor te stellen, en een roadmap op te stellen.
Door de groei van de activiteiten de voorbije jaren, en de ingebruikname van een 2de hal, dienen de interne logistieke processen - en bij uitbreiding de volledige plant lay-out - tegen het licht gehouden te worden. Alvorens we verder groeien en investeren, dienen we aan de hand van verschillende scenario's een aantal potentiële uitbreidingsconcepten te analyseren.
Een detail studie en value-stream-mapping van de huidige process flows, en aan de hand van verschillende groeiscenario's een 3-tal verschillende uitgewerkte concepten, met voor- en nadelen per concept incl investeringsanalyse.--
